Woopra 4 iPhone: Woopra-Statistiken bequem auf dem iPhone betrachten
Mittlerweile konnte ich der Versuchung auch nicht mehr widerstehen, mir ein iPhone zuzulegen und habe bei Ebay Italien ein recht günstiges Schnäppchen gemacht.
Damit bin ich wohl nun der letzte Blogger, der so ein Gerät hat…
Was mir auf meinem iPhone aber nun zum vollkommenen Glück fehlt, sind die Woopra-Statistiken (Achtung: Anmeldung für Beta-Phase bald nicht mehr möglich). Mittlerweile ist mir bei Website-Statistik und Analyse Woopra richtig ans Herz gewachsen, da man sowohl in Echtzeit die Besucher beobachten und analysieren als auch Auswirkungen von Newsdiensten wie Yigg & Co gut beobachten kann.
Um die Statistiken abzurufen gibt es ja entweder den Woopra-Client oder das WordPress-Plugin. Aber mich über das iPhone in das langsame WordPress-Backend einzuloggen und mir dort die riesige Seite ansehen, ist mir dann doch zu blöd.
Erst wollte ich eine richtige iPhone-Applikation schreiben, bis ich frustriert festgestellt habe, dass das ausschließlich mit einem Mac realisiert werden kann. So ein Apple-Fan bin ich dann aber auch wieder nicht…
Ich habe mir daher das WordPress-Plugin mal näher angesehen und festgestellt, dass man das ganz einfach auf eine Standalone-Anwendung umbauen kann, die man bequem im Safari-Browser lädt. Und hier ist es nun: Woopra 4 iPhone:
Im Wesentlichen habe ich die Funktionalität des original Woopra-Plugin’s gleich gelassen und lediglich die Einstiegsseite, eine Konfigurationsseite und ein paar Layout-Dinge geändert, sodass es in Zukunft einfach sein sollte, künftige Plugin-Versionen wiederzuverwenden. Die Ansicht läßt sich einfach über die woopra.css-Datei ändern, momentan habe ich es recht schlicht gelassen.
Woopra 4 iPhone muss lediglich in ein Webverzeichnis entpackt werden, anschließend seine Woopra-Daten (Website, API-ID und Website-ID aus dem Members-Bereich) in die config.php eintragen und vom iPhone/iPod aufrufen – fertig.
Update: Die website-ID ist nicht länger notwendig, das Paket wurde entsprechend geändert:

» Bei Problemen folgendes probieren:
- in config.php “sitename” ohne “www.” angeben
- manche Server sind geschützt durch das PHP-Flag “allow_URL_fopen”. Dieses muß aber eingeschaltet sein (php.ini: allow_URL_fopen=on)
Wenn man sich ein Lesezeichen auf den iPhone-Startbildschirm legt, bekommt man auch ein schönes Icon angezeigt…
Sämtliche Abfragen, die auch in WordPress sind, habe ich in eine Combobox gesteckt, zudem lassen sich mehrere Zeiträume auswählen.

Installation:

1. Extract the Woopra4iPhone.zip file to a location on your webserver
2. Configure the file config.php with site-name, api-key and site-key (the website-ID is no longer necessary, zip-file updated)
3. If you use PHP4 remove comments on marked lines in config.php
(Your ID and API key can be found in the Members area on Woopra.com)
» If you have problems:
- try “example.com” instead of “www.example.com”
- some server protect PHP with the Option “allow_URL_fopen=off”. You have to switch ON for success!

I have ensured that the “allow_URL_fopen” parameter is enabled and set to on, my host runs PHP5; are there any known issues with this?
Irrespective, I still get the following error:
Your hosting provider is not allowing the application to fetch data from the Woopra Servers.
You have to switch the PHP-Flag ‘allow_URL_fopen’ ON! (php.ini)
My PHP information can be found by going to http://agt.id.au/phpinfo.php; you can test it by going to http://www.agt.id.au/iphone/
Can anyone offer any clues as to why this error still happens?
it seems, that there isn’t the PHP-flag responsible for the error, because there is an answer: “Your query returned 0 results.”.
I think there’s an error in the config-file: try to insert your domain without “www.”

the original language of the site german and the posts are automaticaly translated to other languages like russian. So i don’t understand russian comments, please comment in english or german.

1. with the www. in config it says allow_url_fopen is not ON, although it is, according to phpinfo
2. without the www. in config, just the domain, it says: Your query returned 0 results.
Any idea, please?

i have updated and corrected woopra4iphone. Please download and try it again, if you only see “Your query returned 0 results”. Woopra has changed the API, so it hasen’t worked the last time.
